SAVE is seeking volunteers, ages 16 and up, to aid in the following projects:
- SAVE Classes: Every one of us is blessed with a unique skillset that is beneficial to society in a positive way. At SAVE we are always in need of strong role models who are willing to share their passion with children. In this light, we are looking for volunteers who are willing to teach a class of kids a positive skillset or way of thinking that they will carry with them throughout life. Volunteers in this area are expected to teach a weekly class ranging from 1-2 hours for a minimum 4-week period. Exceptions on this expectation can be made depending on the specific skillset being taught.
- Event Volunteers: SAVE regularly holds and participates in various community events, to include our annual Children’s Christmas toy drive, Read-a-thon, 1-mile race, and Donor Gala. Volunteer work in this area may include helping to set up at locations, pick up and/or drop off items, and/or supervising/directing event participants. Volunteers in this area are required to attend an orientation, complete an application and in some cases pass a screening.
- Board of Directors: As a non-profit organization we are controlled by our unpaid board of directors. Volunteers in this area are expected to pledge at least a 4-year minimum commitment to the position for which they are applying. Board members are required to attend board meetings and handle the specific functions of their position. Volunteers in this area are required to attend an orientation, complete an application and submit a resume with their qualifications for the position. Currently there are openings in the following board positions:
- Vice-President
- Chief Executive Officer
- Chief Financial Officer
